MY STORY
Holistic Nutritional Advisor to Massage Therapist
Cindy Nelson, affectionately known as Cin, has always been an anatomy nerd. After working in a health food store in 1997, she fell in love with living an organic all natural lifestyle & went deep into the study of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Natural Healing & Natural Remedies completing over 300 specialized trainings in those subjects. She soon became a Holistic Nutritional Advisor & public speaker assisting clients one on one, and doing health talks in public & private venues & events.
2007 thru 2014 Cindy attended LBCC in Long Beach, CA graduating with an 98 unit Associates of Science degree w/ a specialty in Diagnostic Medical Imaging. Her goal at the time was to eventually become a traveling MRI tech. In 2012, she did a 2 year internship at Los Alamitos Hospital as an x-ray tech & achieved her ARRT Board Certification as a Radiologic Technologist soon after. Despite all of this education, she had a drastic change of heart & decided she wanted to stay in the Holistic field instead of going into the Medical Field.
Cin had always been the massage therapist of friends and family and in 2017 she started to massage publicly for the first time while demonstrating an organic muscle therapy product for a colleague. She kept being asked if she “did massage for a living” and people wanted to book. She realized she really enjoyed massage. In 2018 She started looking for a massage chair & was immediately gifted one by her chiropractor. She continued massaging randomly for fun.
In 2019, she had a pivotal dream where she was instructed to “go down to the beach & start massaging clients” That day, she took the massage chair to the beach for pics, put them on Instagram & started getting booked the very next day! CinsVision consultation was now encompassing massage. She was the first person to ever offer “massage on the bluff in Long Beach” & also worked events such as The OC Vegan Fest, Disclosurefest & The Conscious Life Expo. At one point she met & occasionally partnered with her dear friend Hassam Khan of “Magic In Hands” massage and they would often work together as colleagues until he left for chiropractic school.
In 2020, Cin decided to become fully certified and did so by enrolling in Panacea Holistic Institute in Long Beach, CA where she completed a 555 hour course that included all Massage Therapy modalities, Cupping, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda & other Holistic studies. She received her Panacea completion & CAMTC certification(s) in 2021 (CAMTC Cert #88605). She continued working at community events while also taking clients out of a private Naturopathic doctor office called “Mana Integrative Wellness” in Bixby Knolls (a subdivision of Long Beach, CA). Cin thrived at Mana for 3 years until life changed direction for the medical staff and it closed in December of 2023. Cin continued taking her massage regulars when & where she could & also offered cupping classes and Holistic Health talks at various venues.
After a brief massage hiatus to rest & re-educate, Cin started taking clients again at Massage Envy in Long Beach in 2024.
Cin is now extremely proud to share her private massage practice once again at a new location in Huntington Beach, CA out of Infinity U Wellness & Beauty on Main. She looks forward to what the future brings in the form of service to a new family of clients!
